Valvoline Rally Małopolski 2024 – join us!

Following two opening rounds, the Polish Rally Championship (RSMP) moves to Małopolska, with the 2024 Valvoline Rajd Małopolski on 6-8 June. This event forms a part of the RSMP calendar for the second year running and joins the European FIA CEZ series for the first time. Fourteen challenging special stages and brand new rally headquarters in Wadowice wait for the fans and competitors at round three of the Polish championship.

Valvoline Rajd Małopolski is the youngest event of the Polish Rally Championship. The first edition took place in 2021, as a local rally and part of the Silesian championship. One year later the event joined the Southern Rally Championship calendar and the sporting qualities of the special stages in Sucha Beskidzka and Wadowice area attracted crews from the Polish Rally Championship who wanted to use this possibility to practice and work on their pace before tarmac rounds of the national series. Positive feedback resulted in event’s promotion to the top national level, to the Polish Rally Championship. In 2024 another step was taken – for the first time our rally joins the Central European Zone Rally Championship – FIA CEZ.

New Valvoline Rajd Małopolski base: Wadowice and Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA

At the beginning of June Małopolska once again hosts the fastest Polish rally drivers, competing in fourth edition of Valvoline Rajd Małopolski! Fourteen challenging special stages and a completely new rally base in Wadowice await the fans and competitors during round three of this year’s Polish Rally Championship.

Top Polish rally drivers return to Małopolska for the third round of the 2024 RSMP season. Valvoline Rajd Małopolski takes place on 6-8 June. The official starting ceremony, service park and rally base are located in Wadowice and nearby Jaroszowice (Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA), while the event will finish with an official ceremony and concerts in Maków Podhalański, a place already known in the rally world.

– For us it was important to create the base of the Valvoline Rajd Małopolski right here, in Wadowice. Our cooperation began last year, with a joint pre-rally press conference held at the city square in Wadowice. Back then we tried to convince the organisers to move the base here. They agreed and I am very happy about it. This is a fantastic sport event, growing year by year. I hope that it will join the European Rally Championship calendar soon, keeping my fingers crossed with knowledge that the odds are quite high. Moreover, this event attracts the competitors, their teams and even families for a couple of days. On top of that the whole organisers’ team also stays here – a few thousand people. According to organisers’ data, last year this event generated over 2.2 million złoty in cash for the local economy. This is a must-have event – says Bartosz Kaliński, the mayor of Wadowice.

Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA is located less than two kilometres from the service park and it will host the rally base, with the rally office or the media centre. Technical scrutineering will be another attraction, held at the prestigious resort. Various conference possibilities and hotel infrastructure help to cope with challenges of organising a Polish Rally Championship round. Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA joins the roster of official Valvoline Rajd Małopolski partners.

– This year Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA becomes a base of motorsport fiesta – Valvoline Rajd Małopolski. We are happy to join this event as an important partner, adding our effort to joint success. We invite all motorsport fans to the prestigious restaurant "Flavours’ Granary" ["Spichlerz Smaków"] and to enjoy rich offer of our eight-rooms SPA. Other attractions include a drink-bar and bowling galley, and on Saturday we invite everyone to a dance party with a DJ. See you during the unique Valvoline Rajd Małopolski – says Kamil Tomaszek, CEO of the Hotel.

The city of Wadowice lies at the foothills of the Little Beskid, on the Skawa river. With almost 18 thousand inhabitants, it covers an area of 10.52 km2. It is one of major tourist attractions in the region, serving also as convenient base for visitors, sightseeing Wielickie Foothills, Maków Beskid, Skawa Valley or Mucharskie Lake. Plenty of hiking and biking trails offer various possibilities for outdoor activities both in summer and winter. Wadowice is also famous for many landmarks and museums devoted to local and Polish history. It is known for being the birthplace of poet and novelist Emil Zegadłowicz, folk sculptor Jędrzej Wowro or general Walerian Czuma. The most famous person born in Wadowice is undoubtedly Karol Wojtyła – Pope John Paul II.

Each one of a million bricks, used to construct Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA, could tell its own story. It all started with Jacek Foltyn who once upon a time won "a million bricks" in a card game and decided to build a shoe pins factory. After the World War I the building became a mill which survived the next war. In the late 90s it looked like the history of this place was approaching its end – but then Jacek arrived at the door and created Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA. Now it is a fabulous place to rest, relax or organise events and conferences, with 68 hotel rooms, five conference rooms, vast Wellness & SPA infrastructure and rich heritage at your fingertips, thanks to beautifully reconstructed authentic milling machines and spectacular architecture of the building.

– It is a great honour for us, having Młyn Jacka Hotel & SPA among our principal partners. Wadowice, together with us, see a huge potential with our cooperation. The rally takes place in two districts and ten municipalities which host a few thousands guests over couple of days. This is not just an interesting event but also a considerable source of benefits. This year we move our bas to Wadowice but of course we will also visit other municipalities, finishing the rally with a big event in Maków Podhalański. There is more to come: since September our whole team have been working hard to prepare something even bigger than last year. Keep your fingers crossed! – adds Gabriel Borowy, chairman of Fundacja Sporty Motorowe.
